The Sewer Detective is in need of your assistance with keeping Fats, Oils & Grease (F.O.G.) and trash out of the city's sewer system. These items can cause a blockage and spill stinky sewer waste onto our local streets. Teaching people the best ways to handle F.O.G. and trash is a start to keeping our environment clean and safe.

Your first assignment is to inform people about F.O.G:

There are 3 steps an adult should follow when F.O.G. is created in the kitchen:

Your second assignment is to inform people that trash shouldn't be flushed down the toilet. Only the 3 Ps: Poop, Pee, and Paper (toilet paper) belong in toilets, anything else like wipes should go into the garbage.

It's that simple! 

You are now a Jr. Sewer Detective and can teach others how to protect our City of Merced sewer system and the environment!

CAUTION: F.O.G. is very hot and should only be handled by an adult.
