The City of Merced offices and the Civic Center at 678 W. 18th Street in Merced will be closed on Friday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Offices will reopen Monday, July 7th.

There will be no refuse, yard waste, or curbside recycling collections by City crews on Friday, July 4, 2025. Collections throughout the City will be delayed one day from the regular schedule.

Public Safety staff will continue to perform regular operations. City Fire and Police Department offices will be closed to the public. Call 911 for emergencies and (209) 385-6905 for non-emergency police services. To report illegal fireworks call (209) 388- SAFE. City offices will resume regular hours on Monday, July 7th, 2025.
