Exciting News for Merced: IMAX Theater Project will Enhance Community Entertainment

Merced, Calif – [February 27, 2024] - The City of Merced is pleased to announce a significant step towards enriching our community’s entertainment offerings with a project that will renovate the existing facility at 403 W. Main Street into a transformative 4,053 square foot IMAX theater. The project, which is in initial permitting with the city, aligns with a commitment to fostering a vibrant and dynamic community that embraces diverse entertainment options. 

“This project will enhance our city’s entertainment landscape and aligns with our vision for Merced as a hub for dynamic and diverse cultural experiences. It is a meaningful investment in bringing our community together,” – Matthew Serratto, Mayor of the City of Merced.
