Officers with the Merced Police Department conducted tobacco licensee compliance inspections on Tuesday, June 16. The inspections are funded through a grant from the California Healthcare, Research and Prevention Tobacco Tax Act of 2016 Proposition 56.
The following businesses were inspected for compliance with their tobacco license:
- Family Dollar, Yosemite Parkway
- Family Dollar, W 16th St
- Dollar General, W Hwy 140
- Yosemite Snacks and More, Yosemite Parkway
Family Dollar on Yosemite Parkway was warned for not having their business license posted and for not having invoices readily available. A follow-up inspection is required.
Family Dollar on W 16th St was warned for not having their business license posted and for not having invoices readily available. A follow-up inspection is required.
Yosemite Snacks & More was warned for not having their business license posted and for not having their tobacco license posted. A follow-up inspection is required.
More operations are planned throughout the grant period that runs through June 30, 2028.
