City of Merced offices will be closed Thursday, December 25, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026. This includes the Merced Civic Center and other City departments.

There will be no refuse, yard waste, or curbside recycling collections by City crews on these days. Collections throughout the City will be delayed one day from the regular schedule.

Public Safety staff will continue to perform regular operations. City Fire and Police Department offices will be closed to the public. Call 911 for emergencies and (209) 385-6906 for non-emergency public safety and public works services.

 City offices will resume regular hours on Friday, December 26, 2025, following the Christmas holiday and Friday, January 2, 2026, following the New Year’s holiday.
