The Parks division is responsible for the landscape maintenance of approximately 342 acres of municipal parks, landscaped areas, street medians, athletic fields, and open land areas, while maintaining approximately 19 miles of associated Class I bike paths. 

Mission: To enrich the quality of life for Merced citizens and Merced communities by providing exceptional parks and diverse recreational experiences for all patrons, building community image and sense of place, while preserving and protecting the City's natural resources.

Bob Carpenter Neighborhood Park is on the corner of Silverado and Parsons Avenues. The park is just under 6-acres and features a playground and ball fields. The park is also home to City Fire Station 55.
